Last week I went to Lake Arenal and stayed at the Tabacon Hot Springs, and with me was my very good friend and talented photographer Aimee Giese. Since we were surrounded by Tabacon’s colorful gardens and lush grounds, we decided to go for a little photo walk and take advantage of all the endless photo opportunities. Just 30 minutes with Aimee has now brought my photo taking skills to a whole new level.
She taught me a few tricks for taking epic photos with my phone and I could not believe how much better my photos were by just making a few adjustments. The top three things I learned were; get creative with the angle, play around with the distance you are from the object, and above all else, you must find the right lighting. It’s really just a matter of taking the extra two minutes to adjust those three things in order to get a great shot! Walking around this gorgeous property snapping photos I almost got a natural high; it was intoxicating and taking photos became very addictive!
